VK4KVK attends Wyong07 and annouces his latest book.
VK4KVK attended Wyong07 and participated in the days events. A great turnout and lots of equipment on display from the major vendors.
Importantly, VK4KVK gave a lecture at this years Wyong, and like last year talked about his books. Wyong07 represented the announcement of his latest book, 'The VK G5RV Handbook'. This is VK4KVK's 4th book on restricted space antennas . His seminar was very popular and well attended.
This new book pays special attention to the antenna created by Varney all those years ago, but the focus is bringing the antenna forward for the current generation of hams with support for WARC bands and restricted spaces.
The book goes into some detail presenting a refreshing explanation of what it is and how it works. The book then goes on to explain how the antenna parameters can be modified to support any size or frequency constraint. Clearly, there remains considerable interest amongst hams for the G5RV. The seminar attracted a lot of attention and generated many excellent questions. VK4KVK's Wyong07 presentation is included on the CD-format of the book. Like earlier books, VK4KVK has made special attempts to keep the price of books down by publishing this latest book in pdf format on CD.
